What do you know about women? Feminism in each of us

Why do women stand for their rights and what is feminism? If a woman is a feminist, does it mean she hates all men? Does she have complexes?

Not at all. Feminism is positive, and it exists in every woman! Even in many men.

Perhaps feminism is hiding somewhere inside of you, too? Come to our special space for feminism where you will have a chance to listen to an open lecture, talk show and presentions by various women's and feminist organizations from Russia and Ukraine. Nobody will be left indifferent!

Special Guest: Judith / Jack Halberstam, director of the Center for Feminist Research at the University of Southern California, an expert on queer studies and gender theory.

15.30: Open lecture New trends in feminism: Gaga-feminism. Judith / Jack Halberstam will talk about new directions in feminism, answer questions from the audience and tell a little about her-/himself: who is he, Jack / who she is, Judy? How you can be Jack and Judy at the same time? And finally, what is female masculinity?

17.00-19.00: Presentations by Russian and Ukrainian women's and feminist organizations. What do these organizations do? Who needs them? You get to learn all this and more at firs hand in the living space for feminism.

19.00-21.00: Talk show Hello, I'm a feminist! What kind of 'special problems' do women have? Perhaps they are mere products of imagination? But if the so-called female problems are real, how to solve them? These are some of the questions we suggest you to ask from our guests, feminist and women's movement activists. Have you never seen real feminists? Come, see, hear, and feel! Hello, it's us – feminists!
